Skeleton

SKELETON

(Greg Pope/Sult)

A projetor/sound performance of magic lanterns and sound based improvised music.

40 min live projection/sound performance with magic lantern teqniques using 3 slide projectors, shutters and contact mics, and acoustic instruments, bass, guitar, drum, synth and amplification. the room also becomes an acoustic instrument with bowed steel cables strung throughout the room

The piece is split into four movements. Shadow, dissolve, scratch and window fused together to create a whole. Each movement uses a different technique and gradually dissolves into dark throughout the whole performance. The four movements visuals works as the skeleton structure and becomes an open score for the sonic. Sound and image are woven and cannot work without the other.

Skeleton mirrors meditational unmortality.
